Pre-School Children

Activities in the pre-school are based around the Early Learning goals in the Foundation Stage Curriculum issued by the Department for Education and Skills.
Learning is encouraged through play and covers the six main areas of learning:-

1.  Communication, language and literacy
2.  Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
3.  Personal, social and emotional development
4. Knowledge and understanding of the world
5. Physical development
6.  Creative development

The CREATIVE ROOM   is where most of the art and messy play is done, as well as playing educational games on the computer and is where the children eat their meals

The IMAGINATION ROOM is as the name implies, where they enjoy role play with the dressing up clothes/ toy kitchen/ puppet theatre/ book corner to name just a few, as well as enjoying story time with the nursery nurses.

There is a Key Worker system in operation and a carefully planned weekly programme of activities.
